Act Now to Defeat House Bill 7
On Thursday, April 22, House Bill 7
passed out of the House Elementary & Secondary Education: Administration, Licensing & Charter Schools. It now can be voted on by the entire House of Representatives at any moment. House Bill 7 would force a school consolidation vote for a minimum of 210 school districts. Local citizens are not involved in this process until Election Day after a statewide Commission has decided their local school district boundaries and tax rates.
