The Illinois Association of School Boards is seeking applicants for a full-time director of Information Technology in IASB’s Springfield office. The position will report to the IASB Executive Director.
The director of Information Technology provides leadership regarding all aspects of the Association’s technology needs, including delivering strategic long-range planning, cybersecurity framework, IT budgeting, and efficient and effective technical support services.
Functions of the job include leading the development and implementation processes for the Association’s IT systems, directing and managing all technology systems and resources, providing end-user technology support for staff, serving as the Office 365 administrator and managing the day-to-day operations of Office 365, advising the Executive Director on the Association’s strategic technology plans and goals, providing training to the IASB staff as needed, and researching new products, programs, and emerging technology trends, while making recommendations for their implementation.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and experience directing IT programs and services is required.
