Question: What changes are involved in the registration process for the 2017 Joint Annual Conference?
Answer Key facets relating to 2017 Joint Annual Conference planning are a little different this year. Here is the information you need to know.
For the first time, Joint Annual Conference registration and housing is online. IASB's recently implemented member database system is streamlining operations and allowing IASB to deliver services that enhance the member experience. A top priority for replacing the old system was to offer online registration for events and offerings.
To that end, it is important that your district roster be updated to include any individual that will be attending the Joint Annual Conference. Board members or staff not listed on your roster cannot register for the Conference. Most districts have completed this process, but if yours has not, instructions and a step-by-step video for updating district rosters are located at iasb.com/services/ams.cfm.
Once the district roster is complete and current, registration can proceed by visiting conference.iasb.com and clicking the "My Account" icon on the top of the page. Complete instructions and further registration informa-tion are available there. Please note that IASB accepts three methods of payment for Conference registration and housing:
- Check (registrations will not be processed until payment is received)
- ACH (Automated Clearing House) secure online payment transfer system; or
- Online credit card (a three percent fee applies).

The online presence of the Joint Annual Conference will also have a new look this year. A new Conference "microsite," conference.iasb.com, will give users easy access to anything and everything offered at this year's event. The microsite will include the same content previous attendees have become accustomed to, such as key-note speakers, panel sessions, and additional workshops, as well as new information including an at-a-glance schedule and a Frequently Asked Questions document. Detailed instructions of the new online registration and housing process will also be provided.
The site will feature a noticeably different look than past versions. The new webpage will highlight the 2017 Conference theme, "Leading By Learning." It will also utilize a responsive, mobile-friendly design to improve navigation when accessed via a mobile device.
