Online Learning: Affordable, Anytime, Anywhere

Welcome to IASB's LeaderShop Online Learning Center - the answer for those board members who want to learn more about board work - where and when they want to.

The courses offered through the LeaderShop Online Learning Center are designed to complement those made available by the Illinois Association of School Boards at in-district, regional and statewide workshops.

Three courses are available and more are being developed. The curricula available now include:

• School District Labor Relations: What Illinois Law Requires
• Superintendent Evaluation
• Media Relations

Course fees are affordable and participants will earn both LeaderShop Academy credit and Master Board Member points for every course completed and passed. In fact, for a limited time, fees have been reduced: anyone registering in March or April can take advantage of a 20 percent discount, with courses starting as low as $60!

Board members are advised to check first with their district policy manual to assure that their board policy permits payment or reimbursement for such professional development.
