If your school board is interested in maintaining its policy manual online, IASB can help. IASB has contracted with MicroScribe Publishing, Inc., to convert and format a district's policies into Web documents, complete with links to legal references, and maintain them online. The district can then link to its policy manual from its own Web home page.

School boards participating in the IASB School Board Policies Online service receive the following:
- Publication of your current policies on the World Wide Web
- Interactive links from each of your policies directly to the statutes, available regulations and/or case law related to the policy
- Rapid updating each and every time you add, delete, or revise a policy
- A search engine designed especially for school board policy manuals

What You Need to Provide
To use this service, school boards need to provide IASB with its policy manual in electronic format. Almost any word processing program will work. Policies must carry accurate legal references in order to activate links to the referenced laws.

Note
Each school board must decide for itself whether the condition of its policy manual is suitable for publication. IASB recommends, prior to online publishing, that the manual be reviewed to ensure it is up-to-date with current legal requirements.
